Mpower women in STEM scholarship
In line with MPOWER’s commitment to empowering (high potential) global citizens to achieve their educational aspirations; and to become the leading scientists and innovators of the future. Mpower women in STEM scholarship program focuses on women who will use their science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) degree to benefit society and the planet.
Ability to act as role models and advocates for women in STEM. According to the National Center for Education; Statistics account to about 32 percent of STEM degrees in the US were awarded to females in one year. Women with specializations in computer engineering, nuclear science and software development, among others, shouldn’t have to find funding their dreams a challenge.
The (CEO) and co-founder of MPOWER , Manu Smadja. this statistics represent a social challenge to be faced.
“It is critical for us as a society to have a meaningful representation of the women who shape the science and technology of tomorrow. The world can look very different if we do a better job of empowering women’s talent to shape the technologies that transform healthcare, education, transportation or cities.
Who is eligible to apply for the MPOWER Women in STEM Scholarship
The scholarship is open to Females who are at least 18 years of age. It is awarded annually to international/DACA female students, who are currently studying or have accepted to study full-time in a STEM degree program that MPOWER supports in the United States or Canada.
Level / Field Of Study
MPOWER partner university that will lead to a bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, or a Ph.D. Any field of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. Excluding medical and nursing courses.
- Grand Prize: $3,000
- Runner-Up: $2,000
- Honorable Mention: $1,000
Number Of Awards
Three (3) Scholarships winners will announced each year.

Mpower women in STEM scholarship eligibility requirements
To be eligible for the MPOWER Women in STEM Scholarship, Applicants must;
- Be accepted / Registered in a full-time degree program at a US or Canadian school that the MPOWER supports
- And be an international student with permission to legally study in the US or Canada, as applicable:
To study in the US, this means that the candidate candidate meets one of these criteria:
- You have a valid visa that allows you to study in the US.
- It is protected by the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
- Is permanent resident in the USA (Green Card holder)
To study in Canada, this means that the candidate candidate meets one of these criteria:
- He is Canadian permanent resident
- Have a valid Canadian Study Permit
